2005 England Home shirt

In 2005, Umbro launched the home jersey for the England national team. The modern jersey was popular among fans at that time. Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard and David Beckham appeared at the product launch, wearing the well-designed home shirt. The three legendary footballers retired form the national team.

In 2017, Owen was awarded Golden Foot. It is the award that is presented annually in Monaco and recognizes the outstanding player over the age of 28. Owen, born on 14 December 1979, is a former English professional striker who played for England national team and Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Stoke City.

On May 27 1998, Owen, who was only 18 years and 164 days, scored a goal in a friendly match against Morocco national team, becoming the England’s youngest player and youngest scorer in the 20th century.

Owen was selected for the 1998 World Cup. His goal in the match against Romania made him England’s youngest ever goalscorer in the tournament at the age of 18 years and 190 days. He also scored the greatest goal in this World Cup, and accordingly he became famous in England.
